How to create pages for blogspot or blogger, and as well get those pages on blog menu tabs are some of the problems newbies and intermediary’s bloggers are still facing till today. It’s isn’t that they don’t need pages for their respective blogs, but simply because, they have no idea of where and how to successfully create pages in blogger.

In today’s article however, I’m rightly going to work you through the process of creating new pages for blogger, and as well adding pages to menu tabs (Home) for easy navigation, preferences, professionalism, user experience both which would help enlarge your blog time on site, traffic, ranking for successful blogging business.

What is a page?

A page could mean many things to different set of people, but for bloggers, internet marketers and entrepreneurs, a page is a dedicated webpage (window) with its own unique title and web url, that entails a particular information, products or services.


Pages could simply means a collective webpages. Every webpage usually have it own title of what it stands for, and a web url..

Why Pages for my blog?

There are various reasons why you should create pages for your website or blog, except for weblog created to be used as a single homepage, which normally centered on single information, product or service. But, if you mean real business, then you should consider creating pages for your blog.

By creating blog pages that feature other important aspect of your business, you offer your blog visitors option to checkout more they need to know about you, expertise, products and services that ordinarily, would not be able to be captured when relied on the single homepage.

Blog pages is a good choice for those into full time blogging business and even for  a company’s website because, it helps the visitor to navigate the website by moving from one page to the other, which result to staying long on your site, and to also boast traffic, user experience, trust and credibility.


Most commonly used website or blog pages and their usual titles include:

1.     About page: “About” or “About us” page as its usually titled, normally provides readers information about you, your business brief history, personal business experience, and other general information about your business products and services.

2.     Contact page: “Contact” or “contact us” page is another important website or blog pages that usually provide visitors option to contact you regarding any suggestion, inquiry, feedback or complaint.

A proper contact page for your business website or blog should include your names, phone numbers, email address, social media profiles and more that could make the visitor easier to reach you.


3.     Advert pages: “Advertising” or “Advertise with us” as usually titled and used by most bloggers, is a page that basically concerns about monetizing a blog, by getting paid to displays advertisers banners and some time content on their blogs for more for more traffic and backlinks.

4.     Privacy: Privacy is yet another most used pages by bloggers, but usually situated within the blog footer that clearly list its terms and conditions, and how user’s details are obtained and used.

There are more other page titles generally used by bloggers like disclaimer, return policy and more. However, you can run your business the way you want it, create and name your own blog pages as best desired. For example, I’ve created various pages for my blog that include portfolio, make money affiliates, coaching and mentorship, testimonial etc.

Creating pages for your blog I a good thing that equally shows that you know what you’re doing. Other than that, your Google site is a collection of individual pages that begins as just a single homepage.

Note: You can create as many pages you want within your blog, but note that site work best with 1000 or fewer pages.

How to create new pages in blogger.


Creating new pages in blogger is the same thing as applicable in blogspot. Follow the below steps to create pages in blogger:

1.     Login to blogspot or blogger dashboard depending your platform used.

2.     Right inside your blogger dashboard, click on “pages”.

3.     Now, click on “new page”.

4.     From the “new page” window, enter your desired page name for the empty title box, 
body content, set the permalink and enter the meta description for the page if you like.

5.     Click on “published” to finally publish the page on the internet.

Pages for home menu tab or footer?


Now that you’ve created pages for your blog, those blog pages will not be shown on your blog home page tab or footer, until you add them up yourself.

It is possible to add already created or published blog pages to home menu tab or blog footer, which necessarily for easy navigation. 

It’s also of most bloggers mantra that some pages in home menu (page tab) like about page, contact page etc, should be found in blog footer, while certain pages   like help page, disclaimer page, privacy page etc, should not e added to Home tab, but only in footer. 

Other pages that usually could be added to blog home tab or footer include guest post page, advertising page et al, 


‘No one cap fit all’ when it comes to adding pages to blog and streaming pages for easy content navigation, boasting user experience, and increasing blog traffic.  

All strategies for adding page and streamlining them within your blog home menu, sidebar or footer can be done at your own will and discretion.


How to add pages to home menu tabs.


You can add already published pages to your blog “Home” menu tabs at the top of the site. Note: you cannot use specific blog post as a blog page. A post is a post, and a page is a page. Now, follow these procedures:

1.     Sign in to your blogger or blogspot dashboard.

2.     In the left menu, click on “Layout”.

3.     Within any section, click on “Add a Gadget”.

4.     In the window that appears containing list of blogger gadgets, look for a particular gadget called “pages” and then click on it to add the pages gadget.

5.     The pages gadget will open another pop up window contain your already published pages in left hand side, and a home menu tab on the right hand side.

6.      Now, it’s time to thick on the pages you want to add to home or menu tabs. On each page thick, will automatically be added to the home tab. Note: you can drag and drop those added pages in the home tab to arrange them as desired.

7.     Now, click on “save”.

How to add a page that link to another website.

1.     Sign in to your blogger or blogspot dashboard.

2.     In the left menu, clck on Layout.

3.     In the page section, click on Edit.

4.     In the new window that appears, click on Add external link.

5.     Now, add the pages and url.

6.     Click on Save link.


How to add pages to blogger footer.

1.     Sign in to your blogger or blogspot dashboard.

2.     Click on Layout.

3.     On the attribution widget, click on Add gadget.

4.     From the gadget panel, click on javascript/HTML.

5.     From the pop up empty box, add your customized contextual html codes contain the pages you want to add to your blog footer.


6.     Thereafter, click on Save.
