There have been many speculations about MMM being a scam in Nigeria by some Nigerians who claims to be very careful and enlightened even when many had made fortune from MMM.

The question many people including MMM participants and non-participants usually ask about MMM is:

WHERE DOES MMM GET THE 30% MONTHLY INTEREST PAID TO PARTICIPANTS UPON PROVIDING HELP AND OTHER BONUSES

This is where many people get confused about MMM even when they’re still making money from MMM. I have decided to spend few minutes to write this short article. MMM is a community where people gather to help themselves in form of donating to each other when needed. MMM only regulates and control the system they(MMM) set up for participants to use.

The 30% interest rate comes from MMM participants. Let’s look at this analogy:

Participant A: Registers on MMM and provide help of 100k and gets a 30% monthly interest rate his money = 130k at the end of the month.

Partcipant B later registers on MMM and apply to provide help of 150k. Participant B will now pay 130k out of his 150k to participant A and pay the remaining 20k to another participant who requested help of the remaining sum i.e 20k.

Particpant C: Registers on MMM and apply to provide help of 80k.

Participant D: Registers on MMM and apply to provide help of 115k.

Participant C & D will pay a total of 195k to participant B.

In summary, the 30% interest rate and other bonuses comes from MMM participants. MMM does not spend a dime to pay participants. As far as the system is working where people are providing help and people are also getting help, the system keeps revolving. That’s how the 30% MMM interest and other bonuses comes from.

For those always wondering where the MMM interest 30% comes from. I believe you’ve now known how it works.
